CLAREMONT, Calif. – Caltech Baseball faced a tough opponent on the road Friday, and responded with five runs and ten hits against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. 

The Sagehens had no answer for the top of the Caltech order Friday, as first-year Quinn Hartmann (Huntington Beach, Calif. / Marina), senior Jack Fishel (Baltimore, Md. / Boys' Latin School of Maryland), and junior Mark Hu (San Jose, Calif. / The Harker School), each had two hits. The trio combined to go 6-for-11 with two doubles.  

Fishel now has hits in four of his last five games, connecting eight times for 11 total bases over that span. 

Hu opened the scoring for Caltech with an RBI single through the right side of the infield in the third inning to drive home Fishel. He wasn't done producing runs, as his fifth inning double scored Fishel and Harman to cap off his three-RBI day. Hu scored after the double on a sacrifice fly by senior Thorsen Kristufek (McKinney, Texas / McKinney). Kristufek also scored on a sacrifice fly by sophomore Kailen Hargenrader (Bethesda, Md. / The Maret School) during the previous inning.  

The Beavers return home and continue the series against the Sagehens with a 11am/2pm doubleheader Saturday, April 19 at the Caltech North Field.
