PASADENA, Calif. (June 1, 2016) – Caltech women's water polo freshmen Katie Johnston (Livermore, Calif. / Livermore) and Brittany Percin (Moraga, Calif. / Stanford Online) have been named Division III All-America Honorable Mention by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

Two of just 29 honorees across the nation, both rookies burst onto the scene as key contributors to the Beavers' first win since 2012 and program-record-tying three wins this season.

Johnston set a new program record for goals in a game (nine) in just her fourth career appearance.  She went on to crack the program's top-10 list for single-season goals, with 24, while adding 30 assists, 35 steals and 47 drawn exclusions.

Percin scored the second-most goals in program history with 52, coming just four shy of the record despite missing the first four games of the season as she won the 200 Free at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships.  She also racked up 49 steals, 16 field blocks, 31 drawn exclusions and won nearly 70 percent of her sprints.
