PASADENA, CA -- The Beavers women's water polo team ended their regular season with a 16-2 loss, but still went out with high spirits.
"[Senior Day] was really nice. I'm really going to miss the sport and playing at Caltech. It was a really nice way to end my career here," Dilip said.
Spaur also spoke about her experience saying, "It was fun. I'm definitely going to miss the team. They're so much fun so I'll miss them a lot. It was fun to finish out with our friends and everybody watching."
To add to the excitement of Senior Day, junior Monica Enlow scored one of the Beaver's goals. It was her first goal since playing for the team as a first-year.
"I'm happy to finally get a little bit of compensation for all of the work that I've been putting in. I've put so many hours into this. It's great," Enlow said.
Enlow scored her goal late into the first period with 47 seconds to go. The second goal was scored in the fourth period with 3:13 by sophomore Soumya Kannan. It was her 20th goal of the season.
Amidst all the senior day excitement, Connie Hsueh's effort in front of the cage could not be ignored. The junior blocked a school record 23 shots which broke the school record of 21 she set earlier this year.
The season comes to a close next weekend at the SCIAC Championships hosted by Whittier.
