PASADENA (Oct. 29, 2019) – The Caltech volleyball team fell short of getting the season sweep at Whittier College on Tuesday evening.

Sophomore libero Megan Wang (Henderson, Nev. / Advanced Technologies Academy) registered her 11th game of the season with at least 20 digs as a focal point of the Caltech defense. Wang's performance was especially important in the first set when the Beavers had an opportunity to take a one-set lead after an attacking error from the Poets tied the set at 21 points apiece. Offensively, senior Lauren Li (Bellaire, Texas / Bellaire) led the way with six kills and junior Krystyna Maruszko (Redondo Beach, Calif. / Marymount) assisted on 22 of the team's 26 kills.

Head Coach Tom Gardner and the Beavers will wrap their historic 2019 season at home against second-place Chapman University on Senior Night, Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
