LA VERNE, CA - Ashlyn Cross led the La Verne women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win (25-9, 25-12, 25-11) on Saturday evening in SCIAC match-up with Caltech. Cross tallied a match high 14 kills while compiling a .609 hitting percentage.
Brittany Yaxley chipped in an 11-kill performance to aid in the home team's cause.
The Leopards offense was steady in excuting the win. As a team they record 45 kills on 86 attempts with just 10 errors in recording a .405 hitting mark.
Paige Logan played another solid match for the Beavers. The senior tallied 10 kills and was second on the team in digs (7). Her 10-kill performances mark the fourth straight match, and sixth time this year, that she has tallied 10 or more kills.
The front line defense of Caltech had some bright spots as the Beavers tallied 4.0 team blocks. Logan and Rebekah Kitto each had a block solo while Amarise Little, Connie Hseuh and Meghana Pagadala each had block assists.
The back row defense of Caltech was led by Lisa Lee's team best eight digs.
