Women's Swim and Dive Finish SCIAC Championships with All Personal Bests

WHITTIER, Calif. (Feb. 22, 2015) – The Caltech women's swimming and diving team closed out the SCIAC Championships with a perfect night of personal-best times on Sunday night.

The Beavers finished the meet in ninth place with 89 points.

Sophomore Kate Evans (Suwanee, Ga. / Lambert), junior Grace Lee (Artesia, Calif. / Gretchen Whitney), senior Shalini Majumdar (Orinda, Calif. / Miramar) and freshman Katherine Guo (Naperville, Ill. / Neuqua Valley) opened prelims all with personal bests in the 100 Free, with Guo following in the 200 Breaststroke.  Junior Alexandra Ilic (Austin, Texas / Westlake) then dropped seven seconds in the 1650 Free with a 21:03.97.  Although the 400 Free Relay at finals was disqualified for an early departure, all four again posted personal best times to still end the meet on a high note.
