Beaver Runners Brave Weather at CSUN Invitational
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – A handful of male runners competed in soggy, wet and windy conditions at the Cal State-Northridge Invitational on Saturday.
In the 3000 meter steeplechase Will Livingston improved on his season best mark by over 13 seconds in finishing the race in 11:36.56.

During the day's fifth event, Matt Voss finished the 400 meter hurdle race in 1:06.97.

Caltech was represented by a trio of runners in the 800 meter men's race as Eric Martin (1:59.60), Chris Gardner (2:09.74) and Theo Wilkening (2:11.38) toed the line in the two lap race.

Gardner ran the 400 meter event in 54.85 which is the top time this season for a Beaver runner at that distance.

Juan Adame braved the conditions in the 1500 meter race. The first year runner cross the finish line in 4:47.52.

The Beavers continue SCIAC events on Saturday when they compete against Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Cal Lutheran. The tri-meet begins at 11:00 a.m.
