CLAREMONT, Calif. -- A host of Caltech track and field athlete competed in the annual Pomona-Pitzer all-comers meet on Saturday afternoon.
In one of the largest events in the area during the early months of track & field, the meet featured over a thousand different athletes competing from over 20 schools and other unattached entries.
A trio of Beavers student-athlete made their mark on the Caltech all-time top 10 lists.
Brice Nzeukou moved to sixth place in the javelin throw with a mark of 144'11" while Luc Angel hit 12' 6 1/4" in the pole vault which is the 10th best mark in Beaver history while knocking a member of the 1930's track and field out of the record books. In addition, Nzeukou posted a first place finish in his section with that throw.
During the 4 x 400 men's relay, the team of Nzeukou, Eric Martin, Alan Menezes and Teo Wilkening won their section of the event with a time of 3:36.79.
In just her second collegiate meet, Stephanie Reynolds ran the 3000 meter race in 11:26.54 to place her name third in the school's record books.
