PASADENA (Sept. 19, 2018) – Sophomore center Steven Csaposs (Davis, Calif. / Davis) led the Caltech men's water polo team with four goals against visiting California Lutheran University on Wednesday.
Csaposs had two of his goals in the second quarter and also added one assist while drawing four exclusions. Caltech managed an explosive fourth period in which the Beavers outscored the Kingsmen, 4-2, thanks to goals from Csaposs, sophomore Alex Janosi (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Dexter), senior Charles Ross (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) and senior David Berger Maneiro (Calabasas, Calif. / Viewpoint), who scored the quarter's final Caltech goal in addition to it being the first of his career. Additionally, junior goalie Bradley Justice (El Cajon, Calif. / Grossmont) assisted on two of the fourth quarter goals and led the Beavers with four saves.
Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will return to the pool on Saturday, Sept. 22 when they travel to Whittier College.
