PASADENA, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2015) – Freshman Charles Ross (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) shone in goal once again with five saves and a field block on seven shots faced as the Caltech men's water polo team fell to DIII No. 7 California Lutheran University on Wednesday evening.
Senior James Blackwood (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. / Palos Verdes Estates) put Caltech in front with the first goal of the game, but CLU turned the tables with two goals just sneaking past Ross before the end of the first quarter. The Kingsmen broke the game wide open in the second quarter with an 8-1 edge and despite junior Christopher Bradley (Half Moon Bay, Calif. / Serra) firing the Beavers to a 2-1 advantage in the third, CLU put it away with another dominant 7-0 fourth quarter.
