The Caltech baseball team continued SCIAC play with a pair of games at ClaremontMuddScripps on Sunday afternoon.
Originally the series was set to begin on Friday afternoon at Caltech but due to increment weather patterns the series schedule had to be re-arranged.
Game 1 (CMS 11, Caltech 0 - 7 Innings)
The Stags pitching duo of Alex Sunderland and Lucas Mayer shut down the Beavers bats all afternoon. The pair struck out 14 en route to throwing a no-hitter.
Beaver hurler Rob Rosenberg kept Calech close as the senior gave up one run through three innings. However, the Stags exploded for three runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to seal the victory.
Game 2 (CMS 9, Caltech 1)
David Ulrich threw seven innings of two-hit shutout baseball of the mound. The Stags starter also struck out 12 batters en route to the win.
Game 3 (Postponed)
The third and final game of the set was postponed to a later date to be determined.
