Caltech Tennis Teams Receive Academic Accolades

PASADENA, Calif. – The Caltech men’s and women’s tennis teams were recognized with Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Honors for having a team GPA above 3.20. In addition, 18 Beaver student-athletes collected ITA Scholar Athlete awards for being a varsity letter winner, having a GPA over 3.50 for the current year while being enrolled for at least two semesters.

This is the third consecutive year the men’s team has gathered ITA All-Academic Honors and the fourth time in the past five years. For the women’s team, it was their third time being recognized in the past five years.

Caltech and Pomona-Pitzer were the only SCIAC schools to receive recognition for both men’s and women’s teams.

Individually, Wesley Yu garnered the distinction for the fourth consecutive season while teammate Anuj Arora obtained the accolade for the third time during his four seasons with the squad. Junior Fred Zhao earned the acknowledgment for the third straight season.
