Women's Cross Country Tabbed Sixth in SCIAC Preseason Poll

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (Aug. 21, 2017) – The Caltech women's cross country team has been picked to finish sixth in the SCIAC, according to the Preseason Coaches Poll.

Head Coach Ben Raphelson's squad edged Chapman University in the final standings via tiebreaker by virtue of a sixth-place finish in the SCIAC Championships. 

This year's squad earned 32 points to narrowly beat out the University of La Verne (28) while trailing fifth-place University of Redlands by 14.  Chapman slotted into eighth with 23 points.
