Dodd Honored by ACWPC

PASADENA, CA – Senior Hanna Dodd was named an honorable mention All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) on Monday afternoon.

Dodd's recognition marks the second straight season that a member of the Caltech squad earned the accolade. Last season, goaltender Connie Hsueh received All-American honors.

"This is a great honor for Hanna. She deserves to be listed among the best players in the nation," said Josh Moser, who coached Dodd for her four seasons at Caltech. "I am very pleased that Caltech is getting the recognition it deserves. Hopefully this trend will continue for many years to come."

Dodd led the team in scoring for the second straight season. She scored 39 goals; including five hat tricks during the campaign. She was also the team leader in steals (31) and exclusion drawn (32).

She graduated on June 14 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is pursuing her post-graduate degree at Stanford's Civil and Environmental Engineering program.

Sarah Tuggy, the goaltender from fellow Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) foe Pomona-Pitzer, was named the Division III Player of the Year.
