Orange, Calif. (Sept. 25, 2015) – Senior Catherine Jamshidi (Burke, Va. / Lake Braddock Secondary School) recorded a season-high nine kills as the Caltech volleyball team fell to SCIAC foe Chapman University, 3-0, on Friday night.
The win improved the Panthers' overall record to 7-3 and SCIAC mark to 4-0 while the Beavers dipped to 0-7 (0-3).
Chapman came to play in the first set, taking the early lead and scoring the first four points of the game. The Beavers started slowly again in the second set but turned it up as they took the lead at 5-4. The Panthers bounced back themselves with a four- and six-point rallies to end the set at 25-11. Chapman then finished strong in the third set, cruising to the win at 25-10.
