Moriyama Cracks Regional Singles Ranks

PASADENA (Apr. 12, 2018) – Junior Kana Moriyama (Redmond, Wash. / Redmond) and the Caltech women's tennis team have appeared once again in Thursday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional rankings, with the junior tennis player debuting in the singles rankings while remaining among the top-15 doubles teams along with freshman Sarina Liu (Rolling Hills, Calif. / Palos Verdes Peninsula).

Regional Rankings

Moriyama cracked the rankings as the 22nd-ranked player in the region, with her latest win coming in dominant, 6-2, 6-1 fashion over the top singles player at Whittier College. Thursday marks the junior's first appearance in the regional rankings as a singles player.

Head Coach Mandy Gamble and the Beavers will return for their final home match on Saturday, Apr. 14 for their Orange Out and Senior Day against Occidental College.
