Jamie “JJ” Rauchwarger

Jamie “JJ” Rauchwarger will begin her first season with Caltech. Rauchwarger comes to Caltech with five years of experience at the high school level in southern California and Oregon. She began her coaching career at 12 as a volunteer coach for boys and girls in her hometown league. The passion for coaching took off from there and Rauchwarger knew this would be her path after her own playing career. She continued her coaching career at the junior varsity and varsity level with the goal of teaching young athletes and helping them get to the next level in their playing careers.

As a high school player, Rauchwarger helped lead Oak Park High School to its first ever CIF Championship in 2001. During her four year varsity playing career she helped the team achieve a 40-0 league record. Rauchwarger was a point guard and shooting guard for the Eagles and led the team in assists. She was an all league player for three seasons and league MVP as a senior.

At Moorpark Community College she was named the team captain as a freshman and led the Raiders in assists and steals and was second in scoring. Rauchwarger was named to the all-conference first team as well. A highly recruited player, Rauchwarger planned to move on to Division I before a knee injury sidelined her intent of playing with a Pac-12 program.

She has shifted her focus to the bench and looks forward to help lead the Beavers to a successful 2011-2012 season.  Rauchwarger’s goal is to turn the Beavers into the most in shape team in the SCIAC. Her background in personal training and strength and conditioning hope to help the Beavers be the toughest team in the conference.
