East Meets West at 2008 Caltech-Claremont Holiday Classic
Four teams will converge on Caltech's Braun Athletic Center on December 20 and 21 for east meets west match-ups. Making their way across the country are the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University along with the Cougars of Chatham University from Pennsylvannia. This classic format tourney will see these eastern visiting teams in action against both the Beavers of Caltech and the Athenas of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Tip-off for both days will 12noon and 2pm.
Saturday, December 20:
Game 1 - CMS 54 - NJ City 34 BOXSCORE
Game 2 - Chatham 69 - Caltech 57 BOXSCORE
Sunday, December 21:
Game 3 - NJ City 60 - Caltech 52 BOXSCORE
Game 4 - Chatham 44 - CMS 41 BOXSCORE
After this tournament, the Beavers will take their winter holiday break and return to hardwood action on the road when they take a trip to Northern California to play in the Menlo College Tournament on December 29 and 30 and then complete this road trip with games at Cal Maritime on January 2nd and Pacific Union on Janurary 4th. The Caltech women will then open SCIAC play for 2008-09 at CMS on January 8th.
