Undergraduate Admissions Blogger: Travis Scholten
Travis is a sophomore set to graduate in 2012 (if everything goes well). Until that happens, he spends his time reading (books and newspapers), running (with an emphasis on not getting hit by cars), writing poetry (that does not rhyme), journaling (about his day), studying (occasionally), and kicking bad habits (like using too many parenthetical statements). In high school, he participated in Cross-Country and Track, and is currently a member of the Caltech Cross-Country team. Originally from South Dakota, Travis came to Caltech with the dream of working on quantum computation and participating in the construction of a quantum computer.
