Julie Levesque enters her eleventh season as the Head Coach of the Men's and Women's track and field teams at Caltech. Levesque also serves as Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator.

Levesque began coaching at Caltech in 1996.  Prior to Caltech, she was a graduate assistant for 2 years at her alma mater Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, an NCAA Division I program.   Levesque started her Caltech career as the assistant coach for both the Men's Soccer Team and the Track and Field Teams.  In 1997, Levesque took over both teams as Head Coach until she relinquished her soccer position after the 1999 season to focus on the track teams. In 2000 Levesque became increasingly involved in the athletics department as an administrator while continuing to head coach the Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams.

Levesque was a standout track and field athlete in college, becoming a three-time All-American (1991-93) at Cal Poly SLO.  In fact, she finished in the top five at the NCAA Championships all three of those seasons, taking third place in 1991, fifth in 1992 and concluding her collegiate career with a tie for second place in 1993.  In 1991, her sophomore season, Cal Poly won their third-straight NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team Championship.  She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly in 1994 and an M.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly in 1996.

Levesque and her husband, Damien live in Agoura Hills with their three sons Grant, Garrett and Owen.
