Caltech Athletics : Freshman Lapides Competes at Cal-Nevada State Meet

March 28th - Spring break found freshman Alex Lapides along with Senior Matt Kiesz and Coach Levesque for a trip to the Cal-Nevada State Championship Meet at Fresno State. This was Lapides first trip to this huge track meet and his results were very respectable as he competed in the High Jump and finished 15th out of 22. Alex jumped 6' - 2 1/4", his season best of 6'- 4" which places him in a tie for second place in the SCIAC rankings.

Lapides and Kiesz were competing in Fresno with the likes of UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, University of San Francisco, Cal State Northridge and Cal State LA.
