Caltech Athletics : 2008 Caltech All-Comers Track Meet

The Beaver track and field teams opened the 2008 campaign on a high note with some very nice performances. On a beautiful 80 degree day in sunny Southern California, the men's team enjoyed a strong performance by freshman, Alex Lapides who placed 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 6'- 4". This mark thrusts the rookie to the #3 spot on the Caltech all-time top ten list. Lapides also anchored the 4X400 relay team of Will Gibson, Yezdan Badrakan and Ray Huber which finished with a time of 3:31.78.

Next up for the track and field teams is a trip to Pomona-Pitzer for their all-comers meet on Saturday, February 16th.
