Caltech Athletics : Davis Finishes 8th at CSUN Multi-Event Meet

Friday, March 21 - Over the past two days, senior Rene Davis has competed in the women's heptathlon at the Cal State Northridge Multi Event Meet (The women's outdoor heptathlon consists of the seven events, with the first four contested on the first day, and the remaining three on day two):

DAY ONE Events/Marks (3/20):
100M Hurdles - 19:12 (PR)
High Lump - 4' 11" (PR)
Shot Put - 24' 3½"
200M - 28:52 (PR)

Points Day One = 1951

DAY TWO Events/Marks (3/21):
Long Jump - 15' 9¾"
Javelin - 75' 2½"
800M - 2:34.97 (PR)

Points Day two = 1486

Overall Points = 3437

Coach Julie Levesque was very pleased with Davis' efforts "Rene left it all on the track these past two days, she is a tough competitor and had four PR's in the past two days". Davis finished in 8^th place competing against the likes of University of Colorado, Idaho State University, CSUN and Cal State Los Angeles.
