Caltech Men’s Basketball Releases 2012-2013 Schedule
PASADENA, Calif. – The Caltech men's basketball program has released its schedule for the 2012-2013 season. Head coach Dr. Oliver Eslinger returns his entire roster for the upcoming 25 game season.
The slate features 13 home, 10 road, and two neutral site games.
2012-2013 Men's Basketball Schedule
The season kicks off on Nov. 17th with a trip to the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Beavers will play a second game in Milwaukee against a yet to be determined foe on Nov. 18th. It is the second time in three seasons the Beavers have visited Wisconsin.
They return to Pasadena for a three game home stand against La Sierra and Macalester before concluding the set with their conference opener on Nov. 28th against Redlands. They open their conference road slate in their next game, a Dec. 1st fixture against Cal Lutheran.
On Dec. 15th and 16th the Beavers will co-host the SCIAC Classic with Cal Lutheran. The Beavers will play the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs at Cal Lutheran on the opening day of the Classic. They then play Puget Sound at the Braun Athletic Center on Dec. 16th.
The Beavers have a 13 day break between games for the Christmas holidays before closing out 2012 with games against Bard and Anderson (Ind). The end of 2012 also marks the end of the Beaver's non-conference schedule.
The 2013 schedule starts with a visit from Pomona-Pitzer on Jan. 5 and ends with La Verne coming to town on Feb. 19. In between, Caltech will play every member of the SCIAC conference including hosting defending league champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Jan. 19, and playing their first conference games against new member Chapman on the road on Jan. 23 and at home on Feb. 13.
