Tech Fencers Head to Stanford
Coach D'Asaro and the Caltech Men's and Women's Fencing Teams
will board a motor coach and head to Palo Alto today,
November 13th to take on the Cardnial (Stanford), Wildcats
(Northwestern), Tritons (UC San Diego) and Titans (Detroit-Mercy)
at the 2009 NCAA West Invitational. The Beavers are
looking forward to this opportunity to compete against some of the
top collegiate fencers in the country.
Caltech opened their 2009-10 campaign at the UCI Collegiate
Open on Sunday, October 18th at UC Irvine. The Beav's
then hosted their first team competition of season on 10/24
along with their fellow NCAA West Region mates from UC San
Diego as they took on a field of "club" fencers from UCLA, USC, UC
Santa Barbara and Arizona State.
This year's schedule includes a trip to the frozen tundra of Evanston. IL for the Northwestern University Duals on January 30 and 31. For a peek at the complete fencing schedule, click here.
