Caltech Hosts IFCSC Event to Open 2008-09 Campaign

Coach Michael D'Asaro will lead the Caltech men's and women's fencing teams into the 2008-09 season opening at home on Saturday, November 1st with the Intercollegiate Fencing Conference of Southern California event.  This competition annually pits NCAA teams against Club team from the IFCSC.  

D'Asaro is in his second year as head coach of the Beavers after assisting the team in 2006-07.  Under D'Asaro, Caltech sent eight fencers to the NCAA Regionals in last season a record for the program. 

Coach D'Asaro spent the summer coaching the United States Paralympics Fencing team in its successful trip to Beijing, China for the 2008 Paralympics Games.
