Beaver Student-Athletes Win Robotics Contest
PASADENA, CA - This year's version of the annual ME 72 competition pitted Caltech engineering students in a contest of operating their hand-built robots and maneuvering them through an obstacle course that included the campus' famous Millikan Pond with the finish line atop an arching bridge. Senior student-athletes: Kevin Noertker of the Beaver baseball team and Marc Sells a javelin thrower on the Caltech track and field team teamed up for victory with their invention known as "Newt N' Salamander".
