2012 CALTECH SUMMER SWIM PROGRAM

Water Bugs Ages 6mo-23mo 8 kids max per class
Parent or guardian must attend & get in water with child. This class will focus on games, songs and skills to help you and your child become comfortable in the water.


Adv. Water Bugs Ages 2yr-3yr 8 kids max per class
Parent or guardian must attend & get in water with child. A fun class to prepare your 2 to 3 year old child for group swim lessons. Participants will learn the basics of swimming with songs, games, & skill activities. Floating, jumping, putting face in the water, going under the water, kicking, and basic arm movements will be taught. Sitting on the side, jumping from the side, climbing out, and safety around the pool will also be covered.


Beginner 1 Ages 4 & up 5 kids max per class
Swimmers will gain confidence & competence in the pool environment. Skills that will be covered in this level submersion, supported floating, basic arm and leg movement & water safety.


Beginner 2 Ages 4 & up 5 kids max per class
Swimmers will gain confidence & competence in floating independently on their front & back. Skills that will be covered in this level submersion with breath control, front & back glide supported, basic freestyle & back stroke, & water safety.


Intermediate 1 Ages 4 & up 5 kids max per class
In this class swimmers will develop freestyle & back stroke. Skills covered in this level basics of rhythmic breathing, front/back glides un-supported, changing directions front/back, diving from a seated position.


Intermediate 2 Ages 4 & up 5 kids max per class
In this class swimmers will develop competency in freestyle & back stroke. Skills covered in this level freestyle with rhythmic breathing, front/back glides with kicks, basic tread, breast stroke kick, diving from a kneeling position.

Sessions:
June 18 to June 22 (M-F)
July 9 to July 13 (M-F)
July 23 to July 27 (M-F)

$45.00 per session for group lessons
