What is it about your field of study that intrigues you?
I am interested in how tissues develop, particularly in the nervous system.

Favorite athletic moment at Caltech?
Team bonding at the end of SCIAC championships 2007 when we almost finished 5th had it been for one of two tie-breakers.

People will be surprised to know . . .
I used to play water polo in high school.

Describe your sport in 3 words?
inclusive, mental, varied.

Favorite food?
Sticky rice.

What teammate has inspired you the most?
Kelly Lin was a senior when I was a frosh and she was a great strategist and always fought to win.

Favorite book?
Band of Brothers, by Stephen Ambrose.

If you could go to any sporting event what would it be?
Snowboarding half-pipe competition. 

Best part about living in California?
The ocean but it's hard to say because I've never lived anywhere else.

If you could bring anything from your hometown what would it be?
My dogs.

If you had no schoolwork what would you do all day?
Play guitar, edit pictures, clean my room, catch up on sleep, play computer games.

In 10 years, I'll be . . . .
Doing or completing a postdoctoral fellowship, maybe looking for a job.
